World Poker Tour

The World Poker Tour is unlike many other tournaments in that it is played throughout the year in multiple countries. A fantastic sampling of top players from around the world converges on these tourneys. The WPT commenced in the USA by attorney and TV producer Steven Lipscomb.  He is now the CEO of WPT Enterprises. In 2009, PartyGaming announced its acquisition of the WPT for some $12,3 million.

WPT Enterprises, Inc. is the media/entertainment company that is engaged in the production, development and production of gaming-themed, televised programs and licensing. Upcoming WPT tournaments include the following:

  • WPT Bellagio Cup IV from July 11-15th at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a televised event featuring big-name players

  • From November 2nd thru 6th the Casino Municipal D Amneville in France will get underway.
