World Poker Tour

The World Poker Tour is unlike many other tournaments in that it is played throughout the year in multiple countries. A fantastic sampling of top players from around the world converges on these tourneys. The WPT commenced in the USA by attorney and TV producer Steven Lipscomb.  He is now the CEO of WPT Enterprises. In 2009, PartyGaming announced its acquisition of the WPT for some $12,3 million.

WPT Enterprises, Inc. is the media/entertainment company that is engaged in the production, development and production of gaming-themed, televised programs and licensing. Upcoming WPT tournaments include the following:

• WPT Bellagio Cup IV from July 11-15^th at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a televised event featuring big-name players
• From August 20-25^th at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California the WPT Legends of Poker tournament takes place.

• From November 2^nd thru 6^th the Casino Municipal D Amneville in France will get underway.
