The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is a much-anticipated affair indeed. Owing to the relatively smaller size of the casinos in England, there are fewer poker participants in WSOPE. But this certainly does not detract from the quality of the poker gaming.
As the WSOPE is yet another addition to the gaming fold – there are already many poker tournaments in existence – the brand awareness of the WSOP quickly allowed for the WSOPE to gain ascendancy.

Moving on through the tourney is Event 3. This begins on Friday, September 17th at 12:00 and is a 5-day event. This No-Limit Hold’em event has a buy-in of £1,000.
Moving forward to Tuesday, September 21st Event number 4 begins. This 3-day event will rouse the crowds because it’s the No Limit Hold’em High Roller Heads-Up. And the buy-in on this big one is £10,000. Come 5pm all the high-rollers will be clocking in.
The fifth and final event of the WSOPE begins on September 23rd at 12:00 pm. This 6-day event is all the rage. Players will be able to go head-to-head for the £10,000 buy in. Previous winners of the WSOPE have included: Annette Obrestad in 2007 (£1,000,000), John Juanda (£868,800), Barry Shulman (£801,603).
Players from all over the world will be attending the WSOPE. Many big poker sites offer WSOPE qualifiers and while it’s certainly nowhere near as grandiose as the WSOP of Las Vegas, there is still a tremendous level of appreciation for the WSOPE and qualifiers and satellites abound.
